Clark Russell has been creating paintings, collages and sculptures since graduating from the University of Vermont in 1983.
Russell began showing his artworks in the early 1990s including solo exhibitions in his hometown St. Louis, New York City, Burlington Vermont’s Fleming Museum, Flynn Center for the Arts and Firehouse Gallery.
Former director of performance art troupe Safari 500, Russell plays music in Blowtorch (conscious punk) and RECon (sound collage).
His artworks look to overcome their own materiality and be free of associations.
